About Course
Welcome to Play Code Learn Dinosaur Commands!
This is the third in a series of STEM kits designed and developed for learners, approximately aged 8 years to 12 years of age. It can be used both at home with family and/or as an educational resource in a classroom setting.
Dinosaur Commands uses a play based approach to learning with a practical kit that introduces and develops understanding of algorithms and a fun, educational app that takes students to the next stage of Digital Technologies (DT) understanding and knowledge with programming & Augmented Reality (AR).
Can students solve problems by giving instructions to Explorer Ed the robot?
Can they escape the apex predator – the Irritator?
3 easy steps to use Dinosaur Commands:
Use the unplugged cards to write, test and debug algorithms telling Explorer Ed how to move around the lands of the dinosaurs,
Practice algorithmic thinking using the Mesozoic age maps and the dinosaurs and reptiles of the Cretaseous period in the ‘escape the Irritator’ game,
Scan the dinosaurs and lands with AR mode in the ByteEd App. Use programming to help Explorer Ed visit the dinosaurs and escape from the predator!
